2. Veterinary Technician Positions Available
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to our clients pets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Pay range is $15-$18 per hour dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal catheterization, surgery, and X-ray imaging
– Provide exceptional services, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our animals
– Demonstrate knowledge of animal physiology and behavior, using this understanding to assist with animal restraint and handling
– Maintain accurate records of animal care, treatments, and medication administration
– Participate in animal husbandry activities, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal health
– Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop treatment plans and provide supportive care to animals in need
– Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
– Minimum 1 yr experience as a veterinary technician in a veterinary hospital setting
-Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology or a related field desired but not required
– Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) or registered as a Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Pa desired but not required
– Proven experience working with animals, preferably in a veterinary setting
– Strong knowledge of animal care and veterinary procedures
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong attention to detail required
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
– Ability and willingess to follow directions, ask questions when unsure, and learn from experiences
– Familiarity with Cornerstone Veterinary software a plus, but willing to train
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods
– High school diploma or equivalent required
